Pnuema, 2011. Dimensions variable. Fabric, wire, LEDs, LED controller, electronics, movement & light sensors, 4.1 channel sound loops, 6 channel generative sound, computer, speakers.
Pnuema used surround sound design, and movement and light sensors to create an immersive exhibition with generative sound and light. Based on the Anime film ‘Nausica, Queen of the Desert Winds’, the exhibition created a windswept environment of alien forms glowing and pulsing in the dark. Pnuema explored the potential of changes in affectual tonality to heighten body awareness.
